Knowledge Alone Is Not Enough!

Derek Sivers once said “If knowledge were enough, we’d all have six-pack abs and drive Lambos.” What matters is action. We will have daily accountability posts if you choose to participate. Each day I will post my plan for nutrition, exercise and any other pertinent information. You will be welcome and encouraged to share yours as well. We will celebrate both victories and defeats. There is great value in both.

Weekly videos, recipes and check-ins

  • Each week we will release a new video detailing information on behavior change, habit creation, mindset, tricks/tips and more. Because we believe in action, there will be an assignment each week to complete pertaining to that week’s video.
  • Recipes. These will not be random recipes collected from some sketchy AI generated site. These will be tried and true recipes that have been used over the years to maintain success. They will be easily searchable by meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack) or main dish (eggs, beef, pork, chicken, etc.).
  • Each week we will do a recap of how things went. You are welcome and encouraged to add yours if you like. We will ask some fundamental questions to help us improve based on the current week’s results.

Building a life-long community

  • There will be daily and weekly scheduled interactions.
  • We will also have regular live video chats for encouragement and questions.
  • Meet ups several times a year. Members get to vote on locations.

What to expect

  1. Instant action. Soon as your payment is complete you will be directed to a thank you page that will have lots of action items. First, a list of information I need from you to get started creating your plan. Then, an overview of navigating the site and how to find help if needed.
  2. A customized plan just for you will be created and sent to you. No cookie cutter/one size fits all PDFs here. You will have the option to schedule a call if you would like to discus in detail.
  3. I have found the best success for most is to use a tracking app. If you can commit to tracking, I will give you access to the pro version of the best tracking app on the market for a year. If you don’t want to track, I will send you an overview of what I consider to be an excellent day for your metrics. Then you can plan your week’s around various meals and available recipes.
  4. Free adjustments every fourth week if needed for a year. When we hit maintenance mode (aka plateau) we will adjust when necessary.
  5. Expect pop quiz exercises. These will be random, require no equipment and can be completed anywhere. Those who complete the pop quiz within the timeframe will be entered to win prize.
  6. Monthly challenges focusing on different aspects of a healthy lifestyle. Just like the pop quizzes, prizes will be awarded.
  7. Detailed videos on mindset, nutrition, hydration, and sleep (one of the most important but least discussed topics in weight management).
  8. Encouragement and true coaching. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows. Life will hit us hard sometimes. We will build each other up when times get rough, but we will also provide some firm feedback if times are slacking.
  9. Frequent communication via email and on the website.
  10. Lastly, while our focus will be on changing our body composition, expect to change so much more. I do not say this lightly-your entire life can and will change in this year if you stick with this program.

What not to expect

  • Overnight results. This is not a crash diet or quick fix.
  • Results without action.  You can have excuses or results, not both.
  • Easy success. The process is deceptively simple, but not easy. You must show up.
  • Straight line success. We all want the trend line that slopes perfectly down.  Reality is different. My first two years were elastic to say the least. There will be weeks when the scale does not cooperate.
  • A specific list of meals that are your only options. While you can have great success with that method, it is not sustainable.

  1. Don’t drink calories. Avoid sodas, energy drinks, fluff coffee, etc.
  2. Take out the “carbage.” You know the trash you don’t need to be around. Kick it out and remove temptation.
  3. Eat real food. Shop the exterior of the grocery and try to focus on items with no more than 2-3 ingredients.

Doing these three things will put you on the right path. Those that complete a true week often see a few pounds vanish. Especially if they have not tried to live a healthy lifestyle in a while.
